I have a bad addiction when it comes to lip balms, and glosses. I stash them in my purse, on my night table, they end up all over my apartment. :-p I thought I would share some of my favorites.
My camera is also out of commission at the moment, so I took these photos with a back up camera. Mine went off to Sony to be repaired, (or cleaned). :( Hopefully I'll have it back soon, I'm just glad it was under warranty. I'll have better swatches of all these gorgeous flakies when I get my camera back. They are so gorgeous, and color shifty!

Valentine Favorites from Painted Sabotage
✯ PR Sample ✯
Today I have some Valentine-esque shades that Painted Sabotage sent me, to share with all of you. Just a heads up, my nails may look a little different, because I transitioned to round nails, this past weekend. Now, I just have to grow out my little round nubs a bit. :-p
Hate Tank: burgandy jelly base, with red glitter, black shreds, and black glitter hearts. This polish dries bumpy, so you need a thick topcoat to smooth everything out. I used two thin coats of Gelous, and 1 coat of Seche Vite. The black heart glitters were plentiful throughout the polish. I did two thin coats, and then placed some extra black hearts before using my topcoat(s).

Dance Legend: Milky Way
I picked up Dance Legend Milky Way a few months ago on eBay. I just love Dance Legend multi chromes, they are are always stunning, and Milky Way is no exception.
Milky Way is a multi chrome polish that changes from blue/purple/pink/green depending on the angle of your hands. It's also got the addition of tiny flakie glitters, that really do make it look like the stars and comets in the galaxy. It's a stunning polish! This is two coats layered over Dance Legend 315 Black, plus Seche Vite topcoat.

China Glaze: Capacity to See Beyond, Feather Mani
Last summer Lavish Layerings did a gorgeous manicure with feather decals from the Born Pretty Store, and I've been dying to recreate it ever since. So, when I placed a large order to the Born Pretty Store in December, I ordered a pack of these feather water decals: #1724.
For these nails, I started with China Glaze, Capacity to See Beyond, (from The Giver's Collection), a gorgeous bright aqua cream. The formula on this is rather thin and runny, it's very easy to flood your cuticles, so be careful. It worked best for me to apply it in 3 thin coats. I did my accent nail with 2 coats of Zoya Tomoko. Perfect gold texture polish.
The water decals are very easy to work with. You cut out the decals you want to use off the sheet. Then fill a bowl or cup with lukewarm water. For me, I hold the decal with my thumb & index finger in the water- you will start to feel the decal slide off onto your finger when it's ready. Then I flip it around and place on my nail. Don't be afraid of ruining the decal, they aren't that delicate- so it's easy to maneuver them. Once the decal is placed on my nail, I dab the excess water off with a napkin or tissue. (I finished one hand, before I started the other).
I wanted to add some gold detail. So with my very thin brush (also from the BPS), I lightly dabbed Zoya Tomoko along the feather line. I topped everything off with Seche Vite topcoat. I love everything about these!
The Born Pretty Store has free worldwide shipping. They are based inSingapore , so it usually takes about 3-4 weeks to receive an order from them. I have ordered from them before, besides receiving items to review, and definitely recommend them for their cheap prices, and cute nail art selections.

Azature Nail Polish: Sale Haul
Azature had an amazing sale back in December. They were selling their $25 nail lacquers for $6, but only for 36 hours. I couldn't pass up that deal. I reviewed their summer collection last year, and the creams were absolutely divine. All one coaters.

ILNP Luna & Neon Rosebud
Well, I am back to work today... I've been off since July. (I'm seasonal for the Dept. Of the Treasury). It's going to be quite an adjustment waking up early, and commuting on the train again. (I'm kind of an insomniac when I'm not working). I've scheduled some posts for the rest of the month, until I get back into the swing of things. :)
Anyhow, I wanted to wear something pretty and shiny for my first day back at work, so these are my work week nails. 2 thin coats of ILNP Neon Rosebud, and Luna over Painted Polish Sea Lavender, plus Seche Vite topcoat.
Neon Rosebud on ring & pinky, Luna on pointer and index.

Formula X: Crash
I going to blame this on Polish Hound, and Doctor Crafty, for enabling me! Formula X, Crash is from their Xplosives Topcoats collection. It's a bright aqua blue matte glitter topcoat.
I also wanted to try Crash with purple. I did two coats of OPI Do You Lilac It? Then I used NYC Matte Me Crazy topcoat, and again did the gradient method to sponge on the glitter.
Would you try any of the Xplosives Topcoats from Formula X?
I started with two coats of Zoya Lolly. Lolly is discontinued (Wouldn't be awesome if Zoya brought the bright mattes back for summer?!) I managed to get mini bottles of Lolly, Phoebe, and Mitzi on Amazon a few months back.
I did the glitter gradient method here for Crash. Brushing the polish onto a makeup sponge, and then dabbing on my nails. I did place a few of the larger glitter with the brush. No topcoat, because I wanted everything to look nice and matte!
