I have two holographic polishes from Painted Sabotage for you today. A gorgeous pink named Amnesia, and a dark purple named Shall We Go. 


Shall We Go is a dark purple linear holographic polish. Purples are my weakness so I absolutely love this one, and the holo is quite strong too. This is two coats, plus Seche Vite topcoat.


Amnesia, named after Amnesia Roses, is a gorgeous pinkish purple scattered holographic polish. I used one of my favorite Born Pretty Store rose water decals on my accent nail. This is two coats plus Seche Vite topcoat.


Painted Sabotage polishes are 3-free. No Dibutyl Phthalate, No Formaldehyde and No Toluene. Cruelty Free.

Pretty Women brand recently sent me this sequin glitter kit to share with you all. This is a new to me brand. They offer nail lacquers, nail strips, and nail art kits. They may also send me some nail lacquers soon to review for you all too.


When I first received the package the sequins had leaked out of the kit during shipping, boo... so they went everywhere when I opened the package. :-( The sequins stick to everything (static cling), so be careful when working with them. I think I'm going to be finding sequins in my dining room until next Christmas, lol.


I wanted to do something more subtle with this kit. So I decided on a glitter sequin gradient, instead of dipping my entire nail in. It's up to you how you decide to use the kit. 

To minimize the sequins getting all over I put a napkin down over my work space. I started with two coats of OPI Can't Find My Czechbook, and one coat of Seche Vite topcoat. Then I used the Pretty Woman clear coat- but I just applied it where I wanted my gradient to be. I let it dry a few seconds until it was tacky but not wet. 


I used my index finger to pick up the sequins and gently patted them onto my nails. When I was done I used the little brush to brush off the excess sequins, and I sealed everything with Seche Vite again. They were not difficult to work with, just very messy because the loose sequins stick to everything, (and breed, I swear, haha!)

One of my best blogging friends, Kirby from The Mercurial Magpie recently sent me a RAOK of Ellagee's Sparkling Garnet Duo, from her Sparkling Gemstones Collection. :-)

I'm working through my untried polishes slowly. Happy Hour Hop from Wet 'n Wild was a limited edition Halloween color being sold at Walgreens. I first saw Happy Hour Hop on Be Happy and Buy Polish. It's such a pretty and unique color I had to have it.

Happy Hour Hop is even a little reminiscent of Zoya Daul. Though Daul has a deeper purple base. The base in Happy Hour Hop is a more vibrant purple, and there's more gold glass fleck throughout. This is two coats, plus Seche Vite topcoat. I love the wide brush on the Megalast polishes too. It's easy to work with.


As it turns out, 'Happy Hour Hop' is not as limited edition as you might think, *wink*. Wet 'n Wild released this same color in the past under the name 'Amethyst Rock'. And Spoiled which is a CVS exclusive brand, and owned by Wet 'n Wild has this exact shade in their permanent line under the name 'Are Mermaids Real?'. Being aware of that might help you track down this color better if you're looking to buy it.

I do apologize in advance if things have been a bit quiet around here. My husband and I came down with a head cold, that's been lingering for the past two weeks. We even had to postpone our Thanksgiving dinner, until maybe this coming week. I've got a whole folder of pretty nail polish photos to edit here and there for this blog, it's just slow going. :-\

I also was excited to learn I won the Rescue Beauty Lounge + Refinery 29 giveaway on Facebook a few weeks ago! They were giving away 25 sets of their new collaborative collection. I still haven't gotten to try any of these pretties out, but I keep admiring them in the bottle. I've always wanted to try Rescue Beauty Lounge nail polish. Good morning! Today I have the 'Coffee Shop Until You Drop' quartet from Philly Loves Lacquer. This collection is comprised of four different colors, all holographic to varying degrees.

This set will be available early in the morning on November 28th through December 1st, as mini bottles only, for $18+SH. Beginning December 2nd, the price will go back up to $24 for the set, and then after the first of the year, they will be available individually in both mini and full size.
