Painted Sabotage: Amnesia, & Shall We Go?

✯ PR Sample ✯

I have two holographic polishes from Painted Sabotage for you today. A gorgeous pink named Amnesia, and a dark purple named Shall We Go

Shall We Go is a dark purple linear holographic polish. Purples are my weakness so I absolutely love this one, and the holo is quite strong too. This is two coats, plus Seche Vite topcoat.

Amnesianamed after Amnesia Roses, is a gorgeous pinkish purple scattered holographic polish. I used one of my favorite Born Pretty Store rose water decals on my accent nail. This is two coats plus Seche Vite topcoat.

Painted Sabotage polishes are 3-free. No Dibutyl Phthalate, No Formaldehyde and No Toluene. Cruelty Free.

You can also find Painted Sabotage on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Pretty Woman: Sequin Nail Art Kit.

✯ PR Sample ✯

Pretty Women brand recently sent me this sequin glitter kit to share with you all. This is a new to me brand. They offer nail lacquers, nail strips, and nail art kits. They may also send me some nail lacquers soon to review for you all too.

When I first received the package the sequins had leaked out of the kit during shipping, boo... so they went everywhere when I opened the package. :-( The sequins stick to everything (static cling), so be careful when working with them. I think I'm going to be finding sequins in my dining room until next Christmas, lol.

I wanted to do something more subtle with this kit. So I decided on a glitter sequin gradient, instead of dipping my entire nail in. It's up to you how you decide to use the kit.

To minimize the sequins getting all over I put a napkin down over my work space. I started with two coats of OPI Can't Find My Czechbook, and one coat of Seche Vite topcoat. Then I used the Pretty Woman clear coat- but I just applied it where I wanted my gradient to be. I let it dry a few seconds until it was tacky but not wet.

I used my index finger to pick up the sequins and gently patted them onto my nails. When I was done I used the little brush to brush off the excess sequins, and I sealed everything with Seche Vite again. They were not difficult to work with, just very messy because the loose sequins stick to everything, (and breed, I swear, haha!)

You can find the nail art kits they have for sale on their website here. The kits retail for $7.99. You can also find Pretty Woman Brand on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

PolishM: Lady Liberty, & BPS Decals.

✯ PR Sample ✯

*Note: Laquerlicious is now known as PolishM.

I picked up PolishM: Lady Liberty a few months ago, it is one of my untried nail polishes. Lady Liberty is a minty green (almost a Tiffany Blue), with gold glitter. I used 2 coats of Lady Liberty, plus Seche Vite topcoat for my manicure. Formula is great! And, the Born Pretty Store recently sent me some more nail art items to review, so today I will be reviewing the Rose Nail Water Decals: G103.

Born Pretty Store Review, with Zoya Yuna & Rue.

✯ PR Sample ✯

The Born Pretty Store was kind enough to send me some more nail art items to review! Today I will be reviewing the Happy Cat Pink Heart Pattern #K061, water decals.

I used two coats of Zoya Yuna and Rue, plus Seche Vite Topcoat. Once everything was dry I cut out the decals I was going to use and dipped them in water. These water decals sort of apply like temporary tattoos.

The only thing that threw me off when applying is that the design is backwards. Usually you press the decal immediately onto your nail after dipping it in the water, but when I did that the cat was backwards it just looked completely white. So, what I had to do was dip the decal in water- slide it off onto one of my fingers to flip it around, and then place it on my nail. I patted it dry gently with a napkin, and applied more topcoat. They weren't hard to apply, it only took a few minutes, I think they turned out quite cute! :-)

I think the little cat is adorable! :-)

The other items I was sent to review, and will have on the blog soon are:

The Born Pretty Store has free worldwide shipping. They are based in Singapore, so it usually takes about 3-4 weeks to receive an order from them. I have ordered from them before, besides receiving items to review, and definitely recommend them for their cheap prices, and cute nail art selections.

Nautical Nails with Zoya Ryan

✯ PR Sample's Mentioned ✯

When I reviewed the Zoya Entice Collection, my first thought of Zoya Ryan was... I want to do nautical nails! It's just the perfect deep dark navy blue. But sadly... I didn't have any stamp plates like that.

A few weeks ago, I recently placed an order to the Born Pretty Store for some nail stickers, brushes, stamp plates, etc. (You'll be seeing those other goodies soon!) QA5 was one of the plates I ordered, because it has anchors, and a pirate theme. I'm really happy with the BPS stamp plates. I reviewed one they sent me, and I purchased three myself this time. The etching is good and they stamp perfect.

I used 2 coats of Zoya Ryan (press sample), and Zoya Tomoko PixieDust on my pinky. I stamped with Konad White, and topped everything off with Seche Vite topcoat. The stripes on my pinky were done with striping tape.

@ZoyaNailPolish: Utra PixieDusts Review

I have the new Zoya Ulta PixieDusts for you today. Oswin, Noir, and Arianna.

So... how are the Ultra Pixiedusts, different from the regular, and magical PixieDusts? The original Pixiedusts have a finer texture more like sand. Magical has bigger glitter, and added holographic glitters. The Ultra PixieDusts have larger chunkier glitters, but not holographic. They are all very similar looking in the bottle, due to the red glitter that is in each polish, but they are very different once on the nail.

Picture heavy, so please click below to see more!

Zoya Naturel & Naturel Deux: Ombre

One of my super sweet readers, shared this article with me a little while ago, and asked if I could try something like it, using the Zoya Naturel polishes. Since I'm in the mood for a nice palette cleanser I decided to try it out.

For this ombre manicure I've used Zoya Taylor, Rue, Bridgette from the Naturel Collection, and Zoya Madeline from the Zoya Naturel Deux Collection. I also used NYC Matte Me Crazy, I think it looks so nice and feminine and delicate with the matte topcoat.

Here's the shiny version, with Seche Vite topcoat.
Zoya: Taylor, Rue, Bridgette, Madeline.

Born Pretty Store: Stamp QA83 Review.

The Born Pretty Store recently sent me some items to review. One of those items was stamp plate QA83. I thought this particular plate would be perfect to try some more leadlight technique with.

I started with a base of OPI Alpine Snow. I stamped with Konad Black. Then I used my OPI Sheer Tints to fill in the design. Finished with Seche Vite. I have to say I really like this Born Pretty Store stamp plate [QA83], the etching is just right and the design stamps perfectly. I can't wait to get some more. :-)

My OPI Mini Sheer Tints, come in handy for doing leadlight stamping. I just kind of dab it on my nails, so it doesn't smear the stamp too much. I'm not perfect though... since this is only my 2nd attempt. :-p

SquareHue: Beverly Hills Collection

✯ PR Sample ✯

SquareHue sent me their latest box to review. The Beverly Hills Collection, consists of 3 polishes: Rodeo Drive, Cannon Drive, Wilshire Boulevard.

SquareHue is a monthly subscription box for $14.99 a month, (plus shipping). What is really neat and a bit different from other subscription boxes, is SquareHue donates a portion of proceeds from each subscription box to a different cause every month.

I was pleasantly surprised these are full size polishes (.5ml) no mini's here! I wasn't sure what to expect formula wise on these, but Rodeo Drive, and Wilshire Boulevard are definitely one coaters, (though I used 2 coats for all photos below). Cannon Drive is opaque in 2 coats. Now... Wilshire Boulevard & Cannon Drive show brush strokes, *sad face* but that is common with this type of finish. None of the polishes are too thick or too runny. They were nice to work with.

*I used Seche Vite topcoat on all photos below.

I don't think Cannon Drive (pink) goes too well with my skintone. And, don't laugh at my free hand cheetah design, it was my first try! *wink* I used Rodeo Drive (gold) and a Sally Hansen I ❤ nail art pen in black to do the cheetah design. (I wish the pen had a finer tip).

I kind of feel like I was having a "fail" nail art day here, lol. This was the gradient I did with Wilshire Blvd (blue) & Rodeo Drive (gold).

If I had to choose a favorite I would say Rodeo Drive (gold) is my favorite polish out of this box! :-) Have you tried SquareHue? What did you think? If not, would you?
