Zoya Magical: Cosmo, Vega, Lux

✯ PR Sample ✯

I'm so excited to share these with you! The Zoya Magical: Holographic PixieDusts for Spring 2014. There are three colors in the collection: Cosmo, Vega & Lux.

I couldn't wait to try them out when they arrived on Tuesday, so I've been wearing Cosmo all week long. I did not get any chips. These wear like iron, just like the other PixieDusts. Removal was not so bad either, but lately I've been using 100% pure acetone.

When the press release came out I wasn't sure how I felt about the addition of the holographic glitter, I thought it would make the polish harder to apply or make it look clumpier. I did not have any issues with application, I only needed two coats. I did one thin coat and then another thicker coat. They dry fairly quickly. They are a bit rough in texture right after application, but after a few hours dull down a bit, like the other PixieDusts I've worn.

Cosmo: I felt like I was wearing crystals on my nails when I wore Cosmo all week. My nails were so sparkly! It's a gorgeous silver color & the holographic glitter is visible in low light and sunlight. It's definitely my favorite color out of the three.

Vega: is a pretty sparkly blue. This is two coats.

Lux: is a beautiful rose pink. It's my 2nd favorite out of the three. Two coats.

Nubar: Rockin' The Garden

I picked this polish up a few months ago but I haven't really worn it until now. Nubar, Rockin' The Garden. It's a pretty slate blue with green/blue shimmer. The formula is a bit sheer so I needed 3 coats to make it opaque. I used two different stamping plates. Winstonia Store 2nd gen plate W212 for the dandelion fluff and MoYou London Kitty 11 for the bird. Topped off with one coat of Seche Vite.

Fairy Nails with Zoya Rue.

✯ PR Samples Mentioned ✯

When I saw Winstonia Store 2nd generation plate W208 it made me think of the "Zoya Fairies" who help create all the gorgeous Zoya nail polish colors. So of course I had to use a Zoya nail polish to help create this look.

I used two coats of Zoya Rue (press sample) from the Naturel's collection. Then one coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust (perfect for fairy nails right?) I stamped with Konad special white polish and used 1 coat of Seche Vite topcoat.

Zoya Naturel's Collection

✯ PR Sample ✯

I was recently sent the Zoya Naturel's collection. This is my first official press sample from a company and I'm super excited to share the collection with you today. The Zoya Naturel's collection is six neutral colors. They retail for $9 each. These also seem like they would be nice work appropriate colors, if your office has a dress code. My favorites from this collection are Rue, Bridgette & Odette. What do you think of the new collection?

Chantal is a lovely nude polish that's described on Zoya.com as a french vanilla cream color. I needed three coats to make this fully opaque.

Taylor is just a shade darker than Chantal. More of a beige, I find it a little more flattering. It's described as a toffee cream color on Zoya.com. I also needed 3 coats for this shade.

Rue is a gorgeous blush pink. It reminds me of ballet slippers. I've actually never worn a pink this color, but it's become one of my favorites out of the collection. I needed two coats.

Bridgette is a pink mauve rose color. This is another of my favorites. I only needed two coats.

Odette is my favorite out of the entire collection, but I have a thing for purple. This color is described as an orchid maroon. I needed two coats.

Normani is a sable mauve color. Sometimes it looks brown, and other times it has a hint of purple gray. I needed three coats for this polish.

I also did nail art with the entire collection.

I used Bridgette as a base and stamped with Taylor.
I used the Chevron stamping plate from Messy Mansion, MM12.

I used Odette as the base and stamped with Taylor using Messy Mansion plate MM06. The rhinestones are from the new I Heart Nail Art collection from Sally Hansen.

Rue was the base for this and I used Normani to stamp using Messy Mansion plate MM18.

Normani is the base and I stamped with Chantal using Messy Mansion plate MM14.

I used Odette as the base and stamped with Taylor using MM12. The gold studs are from the new I Heart Nail Art collection from Sally Hansen.

And last but not least, I used Rue as a base and Normani to stamp with Messy Mansion plate MM20. The rhinestones are from the new I Heart Nail Art collection from Sally Hansen.

Random Nails

I've been posting a lot more recently, since I'm home from work, due to the Government Shutdown. Here are some gorgeous random pretties. :-)

First up is 3 coats of Maya Cosmetic's 'Sanctuary' with 1 coat of Philly Love's Laquer 'It's Always Sunny' holo topcoat. I did not do any other top coat besides the holo.

And I've re-visited Sindie Pop Golden Raspberries. Perfect Fall color! 3 coats, with Seche Vite topcoat. Now if only it would feel like fall instead of 80+ in Philadelphia! :-o

Messy Mansion Stamping Plates: Bird Cages

Two posts in one day! I couldn't help it... I really wanted to try out my other Messy Mansion stamping plate! I found Messy Mansion on Etsy, they make indie nail stamping plates. Messy Mansion is located in Australia, but it only took less than 1 week to get my order here in the USA.

I ordered two stamping plates. MM14 has bird cages, birds, peacock feathers. And MM06 has Damask pattern, Chandeliers, Fleur di lis, etc. The plates are just a tad bigger than Konad or Winstonia Store plates. The engravings are nice and deep and transfer perfectly.

(You can click on the photos to enlarge them)
I think MM14 is one of my most favorite stamping plates ever. So gorgeous!!!

Base is Philly Loves Lacquer: Adrian.
(In the setting sun)

 (In the shade)
I will definitely be ordering more Messy Mansion stamp plates in the future!

Disclosure: The products above were purchased with my own money. I was not asked to blog about them.

Philly Loves Lacquer Nail Polish!

While browsing photos on Instagram one night looking under different hash tags for nail polish, I came across Philly Love's Lacquer. A Philadelphia Indie Polish maker. Being a fellow Philly girl I was so excited! I don't know of any other indie polish makers in my hometown! (Philly Pride!)

I ordered the duo of Rocky & Adrian. Adrian is a sky blue with shimmer and Rocky is a gorgeous glitter, packed with blue, white, silver and holographic bar, stars & micro glitter. (Sadly they are out of stock at the moment. I hope she restocks the holo top coat 'It's Always Sunny'... sometime soon! I want!)

When my order arrived it was in such cute packaging! Shipping only took one day... but that's because I'm local and only a few zip codes away! :-p

Adrian is a bit thick, so I used 3 very thin coats and then I topped it with Seche Vite fast dry top coat. It's a very pretty sky blue! Rocky is awesome, the glitter comes out easily and you don't have to go digging very much at all to get a few stars out. I added a few fleur di lis from my new Messy Mansion stamping plate MM06. (More on these soon!)

My new Messy Mansion nail stamp plates. Birds, Bird Cages, Fleur di lis', Damask... love these! I will have another blog post about these soon.

Disclosure: All of the products above were purchased with my own money. I was not asked to blog about them.
